J.A.M. Education – Where Learning Takes Flight!
Grade 6, FLIGHT:
J.A.M. offers both a day-long, and a week-long program for Grade 6 students completing the Flight unit, from the Ontario Science Curriculum. Through various experiments, demonstrations, and activities, students will strengthen their knowledge of the properties of air, Bernoulli’s principle, how structures use the properties of air, forces of flight, flight dynamics in 3-D, control surfaces of an aircraft, and the history of our Cold War Jets.
YOUR STUDENTS WILL HAVE A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE AS THEY LEARN ABOUT FLIGHT AT J.A.M.
Our Program Includes:
- a tour of the museum
- hands-on experiments and demonstrations
- technical problem-solving and vocabulary
- instruction from experienced pilots
- flying in a simulator
- sitting in the cockpit of a real Cold War Jet and manipulating the controls
